HIGH SCHOOL and BEYOND

  In addition to playing on a high school team, there are numerous baseball options for players finishing the 8th Grade. Many organizations sponsor what are called Club Teams. These teams are formed by either conducting tryouts or by invitation only. Club Teams typically play in highly competitive tournaments.

 

  Some of the other competitive teams that Glencoe players are eligible for include: The New Trier summer teams for Freshmen, Sophomore, and Varsity players. The Wilmette Waves (Sponsored by the Wilmette American Legion), and the New Trier Fall/Instruction Program.

Colt and Palomino Baseball

  The GBA sponsors teams in the local Colt and Palomino Leagues.  Participation is open to all players from the New Trier School District. The Colt League is for players from ages 15-17. The Palomino League is for players from ages 18-20. Games are played on North Shore fields in Winnetka, Glenview, Northbrook, and Niles. Teams play on weekends in the summer. Games are competitive and fun. Everyone plays. Evaluations will be held on Sunday May 20th at the New Trier Freshmen Field.
