NEW BAT RULES FOR 2014

New Bat Rules have been established for both House League and Travel Baseball – effective immediately.  These rules have been adopted by the Glencoe Baseball Association (GBA) and the Lake Shore Feeder Baseball League (LSFBL).  All bats used in 2014 must comply with these rules.

9 – 12 year olds (Mustang and Bronco Level):  All metal and alloy bats with a maximum barrel of 2 ¼ inches, maximum BPF of 1.15, maximum length of 33 inches, maximum drop of Minus 12.  Composite barreled bats meeting these requirements will be allowed if they are approved for Little League play as evidenced by a stamp on the bat.

13 – 14 year olds (Pony Level):  All metal and alloy bats with a maximum barrel of 2 5/8 inches, maximum length of 34 inches.  For LSFBL 13’s and Pony House Green (“B”) League a maximum drop of Minus 8; for LSFBL 14s and Pony House Blue (“A”) League a maximum drop of Minus 5.  Composite barreled bats meeting these requirements will be allowed if they are approved for Little League play as evidenced by a stamp on the bat.  All BBCOR bats will be allowed.
